Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has tons of different types of animals, both on land and in the open sea. Sharks are one type of fish that you can find swimming about the open waters around Ancient Greece. Sometimes you may come across a quest that requires you to kill a certain amount of Sharks, or maybe you just want to hunt them for their precious resource.
Earlier today I had a quest I picked up from one of the message boards, this quest required me to hunt down and kill five Sharks, just any Sharks would do.
I headed out to high seas on my ship, sailing around the waters of the Gulf of Korinth in search of some sharks. I could only find two after about 15 minutes, then nothing for ages, so I decided to see if I could get some Sharks to appear.
Here’s a good way to get some Sharks to appear.
Head out to the high seas
The first thing you will need to do is take command of your ship and head out into the open seas. Next, you will need to identify a ship to attack and sink.
You will want to attack and sink a Spartan ship, an Athenian ship or a pirate ship. Neutral ships such as merchant ships are no good for this. Essentially you want to sink a ship that has a lot of crew on board.
If you’re not sure of the identity of a ship, you can use Ikaros to fly above the ship, like in the screenshot, and it will show the name and type of ship on the screen.
Attack and sink the ship
Once you have identified a suitable ship to attack, making sure it’s level is easy enough to sink, attack the ship and sink it. Once the ship sinks, you will see blood in the water. This is when you know that Sharks will soon appear.
You will also see the dead bodies of the crew of the enemy ship floating in the water. A rather cool, but gruesome touch in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is that Sharks will come and eat the dead bodies floating in the sea.
Dive in and kill some Sharks
Not long after you have sunk the ship and sent the enemy crew to a watery grave, you will start to see Sharks circling in anticipation of a free meal. Now is your chance to dive into the water and start killing some sharks.
And that is how you get Sharks to appear in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
I managed to get my Shark kills quest complete in a matter of minutes doing this when previously I had sailed around for ages just trying to find random Sharks.
